Having a personal relationship with God
Being born into a situation you didn't ask to be in makes it harder to embrace it. The moment you begin to embrace rather than fight where God has placed you, the family he has put you in and the people He has surrounded you with. Is the moment you come to a greater appreciation and acceptance of who you are. No matter the circumstances of that situation. Being a PK (AKA Pastors Kid) has it's highs and lows but I've reached a point where I am a Christian because I want to be a Christian. I am a Christian because I have experienced God's goodness upon my life on a personal level. Not because I'm being forced or because that is what is done in my parents house. Yes their ministry played a part in helping to understand who God is and why I need Him in my life. However, that personal decision factor is highly important because what's going to get you to heaven is your prayer life, your commitment and your love for God.
