The correctional side of love
Lately, everyone has been on this "Love your neighbour" tip. Which is very good because "love your neighbour" is the second greatest commandment that we were given by our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ. The first being to love your God with all your heart, soul and mind. This commandment is mentioned many times in the Bible. However, it seems as though when people think of this word "love", they come up with their own definitions of it. Love cannot fit into a box. I say this because the word of God tells us that God is love (1 John 4:16) and God cannot fit into a box. So you cannot love unless you know God. How do you get to know God? By meditating on His word and seeking Him through prayer. God is infinite, therefore love is infinite. There is so much to consider when we think of love.
One side of love that I've noticed a lot of people like to ignore or disregard is the correctional and disciplinary side of love. These days discipline and correction are seen as judgement/hate. People now accept each and every single little thing that their neighbour does in the name of not wanting to be judgemental.
What is to be judgemental?
Judgmental is a negative word to describe someone who often rushes to judgment without reason. The adjective judgmental describes someone who forms lots of opinions — usually harsh or critical ones — about lots of people. Judgmental types are not open-minded or easygoing.
What is to correct?
Free from error; in accordance with fact or truth. The action applied in order to set right that which has been determined to be in error.
What is the difference?
The intention/purpose behind each act. Being judgemental often comes from a prideful place. Usually where a person thinks that they are better than their neighbor. Correction is often associated with concern. It comes from a caring and loving place. When a person wishes to see their neighbour in a better situation, living a greater life which leads them closer rather than farther away from God.
2 Timothy 4:2
Preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with complete patience and teaching.
Hebrews 12:11
For the moment all discipline seems painful rather than pleasant, but later it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.
Proverbs 15:32
Whoever ignores instruction despises himself, but he who listens to reproof gains intelligence.
2 Timothy 3:17-18
All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be complete, fully equipped for every good work.

Correction is part of the perfect will of God. It is not being judgemental, it is not being hypocritical. I do understand that there is a way of correcting someone which is acceptable and a way which is not acceptable. Be patient and kind in correcting others because that is what love is (1 Corinthians 13:4-7).
Guys, the Bible tells us that some people's blood will be on your hands if you don't speak against the bad that they do.
Ezekiel 3:18
If I say to the wicked, ‘You shall surely die,’ and you give him no warning, nor speak to warn the wicked from his wicked way, in order to save his life, that wicked person shall die for his iniquity, but his blood I will require at your hand.
So personally guys😂I'm going to love you. I'm going to love you in all the ways that I'm supposed to. I might not always love the right way but it will always come from the best place possible and it is important that we are able to see beyond some of the incorrect correction that we get. People won't always correct you in the right way but be able to see beyond their mistake. Let us be like our great and mighty God who corrects us in love.
God bless❤
